Bret and Wanda Nazworth live in Beaumont, Texas. They have five children and five grandchildren.
Bret met his wife, Wanda, at New Tribes Bible Institute in 1979. In 1981 they were married, and together they continued their missions training with New Tribes Mission. In 1983 Bret and Wanda went to Venezuela as missionaries. After learning Spanish, they went to work with the Yanomamo people of the Amazon, learning their language and establishing a church. During this time, Bret worked numerous years as a language and culture consultant to tribal missionaries in Venezuela.
In 1997, Bret and Wanda left the growing Yanomamo church in the hands of fellow missionaries and moved on to begin evangelism and church-planting among Venezuelan nationals.
In 2000, Bret and his family returned to the U.S. where Bret worked with GoodSeed International in their Spanish language department, leading a team to translate John Cross’s book, The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus, into Spanish.
Bret then pastored Harlingen Bible Church for seven years until God called him back into missions. He served as CEO of Village Ministries International until May of 2011, when God led him to start DM2.
Bret’s years of experience as a missionary and pastor have given him the tools and vision needed to reach out to fledgling leaders in third world communities. With his passion for reaching people with a clear Gospel and teaching them the Word of God in a pure and simple way, Bret desires to see faithful leaders from around the world trained and functioning as mature disciple-makers in God’s vineyard.
